If you’re here, you’re likely feeling a bit lost when it comes to parenting your little. And that’s ok! Unfortunately, your child did not come with a users manual. Fortunately for you, I’m here to help!
Since the third grade when I sat in the teacher’s desk, I knew I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. I loved helping people learn from a very young age and took every opportunity to do so. From pairing up with the kid no one else wanted to work with to enrolling in the child development elective in High School.
This goal made choosing colleges easy. There were a handful of schools with strong reputations for education. It came down to Arizona State University and California State University Chico. Upon a visit to Chico in the Spring of my senior year, I fell in love with the quaint town and immediately enrolled in their Integrated Teacher Core. A fast track program for elementary school teachers.
Within the first year of college, we were in elementary classrooms, and I was super convinced that it was the right fit for me.
Until student teaching started the first semester of my senior year.
It was like trying to fit into a pair of jeans that looked right in every way possible, but you just can’t get on no matter how you try.
I finished out college receiving a Bachelor’s of Liberal Arts with a focus in Education.
Upon returning home, preschool quite literally fell into my lap. And it was love at first site.
My passion for early childhood development became incredibly strong and my desire to understand has not lulled.
Now I want to pass my knowledge to parents. I find that so many parents are completely overwhelmed by the amount of information available to them. I am here to make your life easier and more enjoyable!
So, let’s play together!
